In April 2018, the food and nutrition department and its foodservice vendor, Morrison Healthcare, debuted its Teaching Kitchen initiative, which was spearheaded by a hands-on healthy cooking demo at its East Pavilion Cafeteria. Employees participating in the hospital’s weight-management program joined a Morrison chef and registered dietitian for demonstrations to share on healthy recipes and cooking tips for staff to recommend to patients.
