In 2019, the district’s nutrition program focused on webinar-based employee development and training, waste reduction and efficient operations. In addition, it added more plant-based items to the lineup, including vegetable lo mein, vegetarian chicken nuggets, potato frittata, vegetarian breakfast sausage patties and a vegetarian burrito. The district also eliminated plastic straws from its utensil packet and replaced all polystyrene service items with paper products.
