In an effort to make healthy school lunches more accessible and appealing to students, the Jefferson County School and Community Nutrition Services team introduced new programs during the 2019-20 school year, including pop-up food tastings for students to sample new products and recipes and provide feedback. The district also continued its Taste It Don’t Waste It program, encouraging students to eat the items they chose in an effort to reduce waste.
