In September, Syracuse University Food Services was awarded 2019 Best Overall Food Allergy program for universities from AllerTrain, recognizing Syracuse for its outstanding allergy training and safety. Also in September, the team took home two Loyal E. Horton Dining Awards from the National Association of College and University Food Services (NACUFS). The awards were for renovations to its Brockway dining hall and the creation of The Tomato Wheel, an in-house retail pizza concept that debuted in fall 2018.
