University adds 2 new concepts to campus

The University of Wisconsin at Madison has added two new eateries to its student union.

The concepts are Carte, a sandwich and made-to-order salad shop, and Strada, which serves up such Italian street food-inspired items as hearth-fired pizzas, pasta and piadinas—flatbread sandwiches filled with students’ choice of cheese, meat and vegetables.

Both Carte and Strada were part of the university’s plan to renovate the first floor of its Memorial Union.
