$20M student-housing project caters to foodies

Drexel University has partnered with a developer to build Good Food Flats, an on-campus residence geared toward students in the school’s hospitality and sports management program, the Philadelphia Business Journal has learned.

The $20 million housing project will feature a food lab, a commercial kitchen that can be used to host celebrity chefs, a pop-up restaurant and an incubator to grow produce.

Construction is currently underway on the development, which is expected to open doors this fall.
