University brings in Au Bon Pain to manage cafe

Carnegie Mellon Dining Services has selected Au Bon Pain to oversee a dining location in the university’s student center when it re-opens in May 2016.  The space is currently occupied by a proprietary brand, Skibo Café.

The café, located in CMU’s student center, is undergoing renovations intended to bolster its throughput and seating.

“To enhance our program and diverse collection of vendors, we seek partnerships with vendors and brands that are programmatically desirable from a customer service and an institutional perspective and that share in the mission, vision, and values of our dining program and great university. We are excited to welcome Au Bon Pain to campus next spring," Pascal Petter, director of the university’s dining services, said in a statement.
