School district hosts farmers markets for National Farm to School Month

Students will receive $4 in vouchers to spend at the market.

Taylor County Schools in Grafton, W.Va., is hosting a farmers market for students next month in honor of National Farm to School Month, Mountain Statesman reports. 

Elementary students will participate in nutrition lessons throughout the month and then receive $4 in vouchers to spend on produce at the farmers markets. Local farmers will be selling lettuce, squash, broccoli, cauliflower, bell peppers, cucumbers, pumpkins and more.
