California college offering opportunity to run food stand

Instead of opting for food service, Palo Verde College seeks independent businesses for the Pirates Den food stand.

BLYTHE, Calif. — Ever imagine operating a restaurant or catering business but building and operating costs seemed too much? Well now, Palo Verde College is currently looking for applicants interested in operating the Pirates Den located inside the services building. The successful applicant has the opportunity to provide students, staff, and the community meals Monday through Friday during normal business hours and cater at college events throughout the semester. The added plus is there is no charge for the use of the Pirate's Den making this is a wonderful way to start your own business.

Interested parties need to submit a "Letter of Interest" explaining why the interest in operating the Den; the applicant's qualifications; and a sample menu with pricing. The college understands that the proposed menu may not be the final menu.
