NYC public schools will stop serving processed meat

New York City public schools have banned processed meats, Grub Street reports. 

District cafeterias will no longer be serving items such as bologna, salami, pepperoni or bacon. Officials have not announced when the ban will go into effect. 

Santa Barbara Unified School District in Santa Barbara, Calif., also eliminated processed meats last year
