Aramark details plans as Yosemite’s new concessionaire

Aramark says it aims to modernize and expand dining services at Yosemite National Park, as the vendor this week started its 15-year contract to provide food and beverage, retail, lodging and recreational and transportation services at the park.

Those goals include renovating Degnan’s Deli and Loft later this year, as well as remodeling the dining facilities at Half Dome Village and the food court at Yosemite Valley Lodge. Upgrades to these locations will be designed to increase customer throughput and improve efficiency, according to a release.

Planned enhancements also include technology upgrades that would allow guests to order and pay for food via smart phones and food-ordering kiosks.

“[As] part of our park stewardship, we look forward to introducing innovative programs and experiences that further shape the legacy of this awe-inspiring and iconic park,” Bruce Fears, president of Aramark’s Leisure Division, said in a statement.
