North Carolina colleges prepare for new tax on food

Starting January 1, N.C. colleges will be required to charge sales tax on all food, including student meal plans.

Univ. of Tenn. proposes new dining plan changes

The new plan would allow on- and off-campus undergraduates to either purchase a meal plan or purchase a dining balance plan of $300 or more per semester.

When we plan a special event, we also add the event to the calendar that’s on the university’s website. We’ve found that local media check that calendar and we’ve gotten coverage of some events as a result.
