“Pinky” Holt has retired after 20 years at the helm of Kane (Pennsylvania) Area School District’s foodservice program. According to the Kane Republic, Holt is retiring “in part because of new federal regulations that require students to take one fruit or vegetable as they go through the cafeteria line. Many of these fruits and vegetables end up in the garbage can.”
