The nutrition team at Dallas Independent School District is inviting students to participate in some friendly competition to celebrate National School Lunch Week.
High school students can enter a social media contest which runs from Oct. 9-13.
Throughout the week, students must post a picture of their lunch tray on Instagram and Facebook with the hashtag, #NSLWBiteSeenAcrossTexas.
Students who post pictures of their meals for at least three of the five days will be entered into a drawing to receive a pair of Apple AirPods.
Broward County Public Schools in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., is also hosting a similar social media competition with its high school students to celebrate National School Lunch Week.
Established in 1962, National School Lunch Week was created to promote the National School Lunch Program and the millions of meals school nutrition operators provide to students each day.
