Breakfast food prices rise due to climate change

According to Oxfam, at least three popular breakfast cereals are expected to increase.

Due to dramatic shifting weather patterns and events such as floods and droughts, breakfast food prices are expected to continue to climb at a steady pace. For example, the food prices of corn and rice may double by 2030, according to Oxfam.

In the U.S., cereal food prices for Frosted Flakes could be up 20% by 2030 and up 30% in the U.K. Kicks could see a jump of 24% in the U.S., while Corn Flakes could see a jump of 30% in the U.K., Oxfam reports.
