Aramark Sports + Entertainment thinks outside of the box for its MLB season burger lineup

National Burger Month, which took place in May, has come to an end; however, Aramark Sports + Entertainment is menuing a roster of creative burgers all throughout the Major League Baseball (MLB) season. The line up is diverse, with a variety of flavor combinations, and even plant-based options for those who could do without the beef. Here’s a look at a few of the stand-out options.

While New York’s Citi Field has been recognized for its burgers in the past, the culinary team decided to take it to the next level this year with the Mets Championship Burger. The burger is a dry-aged beef patty, topped with Maine lobster salad and lobster fondue.

"The fans have reacted well to the burger," said Jason Eksterowicz, senior executive chef at Citi Field, in a statement.  “It’s a great example of what we try to do in our food program at Citi Field. We continue to put our own twist on fan favorites to elevate culinary experiences.”

This next burger is a reimagination of baseball outfielder Kyle Schwarber’s Schwarburger, which originally debuted during the Philadelphia Phillies’ 2023 post-season run.

The Schwarburger 2.0 is topped with American cheese, pepper bacon, a fried egg, crispy onions and signature sauce. Fans can find the burger at the Philadelphia stadium on their regular game day menu.

A portion of proceeds from the burger are donated to Schwarber’s Neighborhood Heroes foundation, which provides support and funding for first responder families.

A new plant-based concept debuted in March at Coors Field in Denever, Colorado, serving a variety of “Better-Off Burgers” which are plant-based ballpark burgers. The current lineup of Better-Off Burgers includes the Original, which features a “burger sauce,” pickles and vegan cheddar cheese. Diners can also add on roasted mushrooms, onions and avocado.

Also, on offer all season long is the Chorizo Burger, a plant-based burger with “chorizo,” vegan smoked gouda, roasted peppers, bibb lettuce and chipotle aioli.

Rounding out the trio is the Medi Burger, another plant-based patty, dressed with za’atar, carrot sumac slaw, harissa mayo, olive tapenade and bibb lettuce.

 This Instagram-worthy burger is currently on the line up at Kauffman Stadium. The burger debuted at the Kansas City, Missouri stadium in April to celebrate the start of the season. This burger comes topped with blue cheese crumbles, bacon, lettuce and buffalo aioli, all dressed on a stunningly vibrant blue bun.

This burger is a creative take on an al pastor taco. The grilled angus burger comes topped with pineapple and rum glazed candied bacon, grilled pineapple and cilantro crema. This burger can be found on the menu at Pagoda Plaza in Indianapolis, Indiana.
