Aramark has joined forces with Patient Engagement Advisors (PEA), creating a strategic partnership it says will be an aid to both health systems and patients.
PEA offers a technology platform that seeks to help patients avoid readmission after a hospital stay. In addition to assisting with follow-up appointments, it provides support around taking medications and getting proper nutrition, according to a press release.
“Adding post-discharge care services to our other capabilities, including foodservice, enables us to better serve an evolving healthcare industry by working in partnership with our clients to help reduce costly readmissions,” Bart Kaericher, CEO of Aramark’s healthcare division, said in that release.
