Melissa Swida has joined foodservice management company, Metz Culinary Management, as director of purchasing. Swida will control and distribute all purchasing activities and items, maintain pricing contracts, cultivate supplier relationships, and with the assistance of the K-12 Culinary Committee, she will direct purchases for school lunch programs, the company announcement states.
Previously, Swida worked at US Foods for 12 years where she served in a number of roles, including customer service representative and national account executive, gaining applicable experience in merchandising, market trends, management and employee relations.
A resident of Shavertown, Pa., Swida holds a Bachelors of Science in Business Management from Misericordia University, in Dallas, Pa.
