Most Oregon students skip breakfast, study says

The 2013 Oregon Healthy Teens Survey shows that more than half of Oregon eighth-graders and 32 percent high school juniors skip breakfast at least one day a week.

Ore.—More than half of Oregon eighth-graders skip breakfast at least one day a week and 29 percent of them skip it more often than they eat it, a new survey found.

High school juniors were even more likely to forgo breakfast, with only 42 percent of them eating it daily and 32 percent skipping it most days of the week.

Those are findings of the 2013 Oregon Healthy Teens Survey, taken by 14,000 Oregon eighth-graders and 13,000 11th-graders last year.
