Dover Middle School in Dover, N.H., has started a sharing table inside its cafeteria to help feed students in need and reduce waste, Fosters.com reports.

Named the Snack Shack, the table has three bins where students can place unwanted fruit, drinks and snack packages. The food must be unopened and uneaten.

Food still on the table at the end of the day is brought to the nurse’s office to be stored until the next day.
