Fewer school districts promote "junk food," soda

One in four districts banned junk food in vending machines last year, according to new survey.

Team Nutrition Campaign

We started a marketing campaign called Team Nutrition. We wanted to increase our participation but, more important, to reduce the amount of healthy items that kids were throwing away. 

USDA reacts, saying districts are doing just fine meeting the new rules.

Soda will be replaced with healthy alternatives in high school vending machines.
