What would you like to accomplish in your career in the short-term? Long-term?

My short-term goal would be to read one book a month that aligns with my career, and long-term goal would be to launch my own design company someday.

What’s been your most rewarding moment?

Saying "yes" to things I didn't think I could do. Being an introvert, there are times where I think I can’t do something. Being able to mentor young talent past pitfalls, develop their skills and offer support has been rewarding and fulfilling in itself.

What is your favorite kitchen hack?

Slicing avocados with the skin on, then peeling the skin off the slice. Perfect slices every time!

What experience have you learned an important lesson from?

Having children. … The bond and connection that I have with my children is beyond beautiful. I’ve learned not to be afraid to say “no” to others’ suggestions or thoughts. At the same time, not be shy to recognize when my input isn’t needed or is wrong.

What’s the best career advice you’ve been given?

Find something you enjoy doing. When you enjoy what you do, you're more effective. It doesn't feel like work and you're always willing to go that extra mile. It may take time to find that great occupation, but it's always worth it.
