Asian food gets the boot in college’s remodel

J Street will undergo its first venue changes in two years this semester, as the University replaces two Asian eateries with traditional American fare and closes the campus dining hall’s largest venue.

Mike Floyd retires from U. of Georgia

J. Michael Floyd, associate vice president for auxiliary services at the University of Georgia (UGA), retired this month after 40 years with the state university system.

Shirley Everett, senior associate vice provost of residential & dining enterprises, had a vision “to create a unique design, which enhances the student living and learning experience with an equally innovative, educational and sustainable dining experience” at the Florence Moore Dining Hall.

Grand Valley State University students returning to campus this week have a new spot to grab their meals.
