ALLENDALE, Mich. — Grand Valley State University students returning to campus this week have a new spot to grab their meals.
Kleiner Commons, GVSU’s busiest dining hall, officially opened this week after a $7.5 million expansion that doubled the building's seating and added new dining options.
Inside, students encounter a sleek new room, packed with a variety of seating – tables, high-top counter seats, restaurant style booths – as well as a fireplace. There’s now seating for about 460 students, up from about 240.
Three new dining options – there’s eight in all – have also been added, including a Qdoba Mexican Grill.
