The Senate is debating whether to include funding for the waivers issued during the pandemic in a supplemental appropriations package.

The bill, which would provide universal free meals to students in the state, would only go into effect if state voters approved it during the upcoming election in November.

The agency, which noted that more than 160 foods are known to cause allergic reactions, is looking to evaluate emerging evidence “in a consistent and transparent manner.”

Operators are preparing to air pay ranges in their job ads, starting May 15.

The state’s Department of Agriculture would be required to provide a 10-cent reimbursement for breakfasts served in certain districts.
