Bruce Schroder named president of Moe’s

Focus Brands has named Bruce Schroder president of its Moe’s Southwest Grill chain, filling the vacancy left by the promotion of Paul Damico to group president.

Schroder is a former COO and restaurant-operations president for Jamba Juice. More recently, he served as president of a retail company that rents offices on demand in North America to the self-employed and small businesses. Regus’ Express North America also provides office services.

He spent 16 years at PepsiCo, the former owner of Taco Bell.

The announcement of Schroder’s appointment indicated that Damico led the search for his successor.

Damico said he was drawn to Schroder because of the retail veteran’s experience in franchising and differentiating brands.

Focus’ other restaurant brands include McAlister’s Deli, Schlotzsky’s, Cinnabon and Carvel. It is one of the industry’s largest franchisors.
