Stephens County Hospital in Toccoa, Ga., has started a new local procurement initiative, WNEG Radio reports.
The hospital is looking to source local produce from farmers throughout the region to use in its menus. Local products are also going to be made available for purchase in the hospital’s gift shop.
Hospital officials say that they plan to start purchasing the area produce in the next two weeks.
