Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center’s cafeteria reopened Thursday as Fresh Inspiration Cafe, sporting a new look and a menu showcasing “mindful” options to help patrons make healthier choices.

Wa. elementary school cafeteria saves water, energy

Green Lake Elementary’s new cafeteria uses a solar-energy system to preheat water, while another system collects, filters and reuses water for pre-washing dishes—saving the district 200,000 gallons of water a year.

HarborChase will offer a variety of dining venues when it opens in 2016, including a luxury dining room, outdoor dining, an exhibition kitchen and a bistro/coffee bar.

The university received two 2015 Loyal E. Horton Dining Award grand prizes for its Central Campus Dining at South Quad and Fireside Cafe at Pierpont Commons.

UW Health at the American Center opened its doors to the public Sunday to provide healthy-cooking demonstrations and give tours of the rooftop garden that will be used to grow fresh ingredients for patients and visitors.

Construction begins this week on the 70,000-square-foot Texas Oxford Grand Assisted Living and Memory Care building in Wichita, Kansas.

Grand Living at Lake Lorraine features multiple dining areas so its residents don’t have to eat in the same place several times a day.

Beacon Hill at Eastgate’s expansion will feature 10,000 square feet of expanded dining space as well as a new dining option, the Garden Café which will feature garden-fresh dishes.

There’s also the challenge of feeding several thousand of the most discerning customers on the planet.

The two, 12-story towers redesign includes outdoor dining areas, a rooftop garden and a 12th-story lounge for residents.
