District turns to student interns to help fill open positions

The nutrition team at Pulaski County Public Schools in Pulaski, Va., is using student interns to fill its open positions, 10 News reports.

The team is able to find the interns through the district’s student internship program, which offers students paid positions to help build their resumes before graduating high school.

Enrolled students spend part of the class day interning. For example, one student intern working with the nutrition team spends his first-period class prepping meals and washing dishes.
