Plans for a new global eatery at the University at Buffalo are underway, with construction set to start this summer.

The 50,000-square-foot One World Cafe will include seating for more than 500 students and will offer five types of international cuisine: Indian, Asian, Mediterranean, Japanese and American, reports The Spectrum, the student media outlet for the Buffalo, N.Y., school.

Among the eatery’s primary features will be a tandoor oven and a 60-foot herb wall that chefs can use to flavor meals. It will also offer grab-and-go items and some kosher selections.

The dining team is committed to ensuring that the ethnic cuisine offered at the cafe will be authentic, Executive Director of Campus Dining & Shops Jeff Brady shared with The Spectrum.

One World Cafe is set to be completed in August 2021.
