The nutrition team at San Antonio Independent School District helped provide snack bundles to students in Uvalde, Texas, in the wake of the mass shooting at Robb Elementary.

Nutrition staff handed out 15,000 snack bundles to students late last week and over the holiday weekend.

Over 65% of K-12 students who attend Uvalde schools qualify for free or reduced-price meals at school, according to a release issued by the Texas Department of Agriculture.
