Reinvented lunchroom popular with kids

Before Santaluces High School remodeled its cafeteria and menu, it had a hard time getting students to eat lunch—even those on a free- or reduced-price plan, reports The Palm Beach Post.

Since the cafeteria’s $550,000 revamp, it now looks more like a food court, featuring various themed restaurants serving American, Latin, Asian and deli dishes—each with its own checkout line.

About 200 more students are eating daily, according to school officials.

“We definitely see the difference. This cafeteria would not be this packed before,” Principal Tameka Robinson told the Post.
