All staff working in skilled nursing facilities in Massachusetts will have to be vaccinated for COVID-19, according to a new mandate released by the state’s department of health.
Eligible employees must receive their first dose by Sept., 1 2021, and will have to be fully vaccinated by Oct. 10, 2021. Employees can be exempt for religious or medical reasons.
The city of Denver also recently issued a mandate requiring healthcare workers, city employees and some others to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
