Colo. hospital taps local farmer to help garden grow

In an effort to help its garden grow more produce, Castle Rock Adventist Hospital has hired a farmer to oversee its community garden, reports The Denver Post.

The new resident farmer, Brian Fitzgerald, will oversee the Castle Rock, Colo., hospital’s Garden of Eatin’, which supplies its on-site Manna restaurant with a variety of fruits and vegetables. 

Dan Skay, the hospital’s nutrition manager and executive chef of Manna, told the website he expects the hospital plot will quadruple its production under Fitzgerald’s watch.
