Minn. hospital spices up operations, menu

Twin Cities Community Hospital’s cafeteria has spiced up their operation and menu, reports The Tribune.

Patients can order from a menu, have their meal cooked-to-order and then have the executive chef come check to see how everything turned out.

The cafeteria also shook its menu up, switching to daily specials like salmon burgers or a Mexican-themed buffet, a salad bar and grab-and-go items.

“For too many years we set an expectation of bland, poorly tasting hospital food and then we met people’s expectations. But there’s really been an evolution in the industry, and we’re very serious about the quality of our food here,” Ron Yukelson, Twin Cities’ associate administrator for business development, told the Tribune.
