When Dennis Pierce, associate dir. of dining svcs., Univ. of Connecticut, Storrs, arrived in Chicago for the NRA show in May, the first place he went (after dropping off his bags at his hotel) was Fox and Obel, a very upscale grocery store and cafe located on the corner of McClurg Court and Illinois Street.

Fact: Americans continue to be more time-pressed than ever, and want even more convenient solutions to buying food.

Refrigeration is one of those f/s equipment areas in which innovation comes not with great leaps forward, but gradually, with adaptations here and there that help increase efficiency and user-friendliness.

The district is also expanding its Provision II free breakfast program to an additional eight schools this year in order to build participation and help more kids learn more effectively.

Sandwiches are becoming more ethnic and branded on many college campuses today.
