Ondrof came out of retirement to join the company in 2020. Prior to that, he served as CFO at Performance Food Group. He also spent 24 years at Compass Group, North America, where he held various financial and business development leadership roles.

“Tom leaves a strong legacy that’s both broad and deep,” said John Zillmer, Aramark’s Chief Executive Officer, in a statement.  “When I asked him to join Aramark shortly after my return, he left a hard-earned retirement to help us create and drive a successful growth strategy based on our hospitality culture, focused on accelerating net new business, optimizing supply chain economics, containing above unit costs, and instilling a value-creating mindset across the organization.

Jim Tarangelo, who currently serves as treasurer and vice president of finance, will take on the role of chief financial officer. He has been with the company for 20 years. Before joining Aramark, he was with PricewaterhouseCoopers and Legg Mason in investment banking roles.
