Sodexo Live! is opening a new food court at the Museum of Science and Industry.

The food court, dubbed Museum Kitchen, is located on the lower level of the museum. The new dining facility expands guests’ options with a variety of new stations. In addition, the food court will source from local and minority-owned suppliers whenever possible.

At Museum Kitchen, guests will find a station called Harvest Handcrafted Sandwiches, which serves fresh sandwiches constructed with homemade bread and premium meats and cheeses.

On offer at the Market Bar will be rotating cuisine. The opening menu features Asian dishes, including ramen, rice noodles, soba cucumber salad and steamed dumplings.

Guests looking for more indulgent fare can stop in at Crust Artisan Pizza or Farmstead Chicken & Burgers. Here they can find house-made pizza and made-to-order favorites such as house-made angus burgers, turkey burgers and vegan black bean burgers.

“We’re thrilled to work with our longtime partner Sodexo Live! to bring this new level of dining to guests with the opening of Museum Kitchen,” said Brad Schiever, AVP guest engagement and business services at the Museum of Science and Industry. “They’ve curated a great menu of their own creative dishes with some local Chicago favorites that will give guests the opportunity to try something new with each visit.”

The new dining facility also features energy-efficient technology and sustainable practices including the use of compostable and reusable serve ware. In addition, dining tables are made from recycled car engine parts.

“There’s nothing quite like spending a day exploring the museum, and through Museum Kitchen’s opening we’re elevating visits by bringing a variety of new offerings to the table to create a well-rounded experience,” said Mateus De Campos, District Manager, Sodexo Live! “In a city like Chicago that’s so acclaimed for its food, incorporating local suppliers and partners into both our catering and daily menus is a great way to ensure an exciting time for families and all visitors who come spend a day with us.”
