Aramark awarded Yosemite concession for $2 billion

Aramark has been selected as the new concessioner for Yosemite National Park, beginning March 1, 2016. Under the new 15-year contract, valued at $2 billion, the foodservice provider will replace Delaware North as manager of Yosemite’s hospitality programs, which include food and beverage, lodging, retail, and recreational and transportation services.

Aramark looks forward to enhancing Yosemite’s guest experience with a variety of distinctive hospitality and service offerings, as well as educational and interpretive programming, Bruce W. Fears, president of the foodservice provider’s leisure division, said in a statement.

“Yosemite is one of America’s most treasured resources and important natural preserves, and we are excited to work with the (National Park Service) as a steward of the park’s rich history and to help shape its legacy moving forward,” said Fears.

This marks Aramark’s ninth contract with the NPS, which include agreements with Denali National Park and Preserve, Glacier Bay Park and Preserve, Olympic National Park, Mesa Verde National Park, Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
