FARMINGTON, Conn. — Changes are coming to a high school lunch program after hundreds of Farmington students boycotted the food they were being served.
Moldy bread and fruit flies were just a few reasons why some students boycotted lunch at Farmington High School.
“There has been hair found in food, the food has been raw and charges have been going up at Chartwells," student Matt Domejczyk said.
Some students said it has been a problem since food service company Chartwells took over dining services two years ago.
At a meeting recently with students and administrators, some progress has been made.
“They actually hired a chef on Monday, for example, so right away the food quality looked better,” said student Christy Rosario.
