Sodexo North America names Poirot chief financial officer

Jan. 16—Sodexo North America has named Oliver Poirot senior vice president and chief financial officer.

In his new role, Poirot will manage finance and risk management for Sodexo in North America. Poirot joined Sodexo in October 2011 from Accor North America, where he served as chief executive officer. In that role, Poirot managed more than 1,100 Sofitel, Novotel, Studio 6, Motel 6 and Ibis properties. Poirot succeeds Debbie White, who is now CEO for Sodexo UK and Ireland.

“We are extremely pleased that Olivier has joined our senior executive team,” said George Chavel, president and CEO of Sodexo, Inc., in a press release. “With his depth of experience from another global, industry-leading, world-class company, he has enabled a seamless transition and is positioned perfectly to provide strong financial leadership during this important time of growth for our company.”
