Retirement community FSD creates video to enhance dining experience

Food is necessary to survive, and at Treemont, artisan crafted meals and top-notch staff create an unforgettable dining adventure.

Food is also the top item people comment on in customer satisfaction surveys at retirement communities. At Treemont Retirement Community, there are three opportunities daily, seven days a week, to delight its residents.

Treemont has always been known for its three tasty, home-cooked meals. Treemont food service director James Renshaw, who has vast experience in health-care nutrition as well as fine dining, joined the Treemont team this past year.

Because food service and great customer service are so important, he decided to create a video, "Make a Positive Impact Daily in Residents' Lives," to refresh current and new staff on the key role they play in providing the best possible dining experience for Treemont residents.

The video is designed to introduce and reinforce our wait staff to the important role they have in serving Treemont residents. The video displays how to successfully interact with senior residents so they are better positioned - as a new or current employee - to successfully perform their job in creating the ultimate dining experience. It covers the following topics: Defining Great Customer Service; Systems & Procedures; and Duties & Responsibilities.

Among the topics covered are: how to positively interact with residents; best practices on delivering the meal to residents; and key systems to enhance the dining room presentation.
