Northwestern College dining hall up for renovation

Renovation will include new seating area and actions stations.

March 26—Sodexo at Northwestern College, in Orange City, Iowa, will implement nearly $1 million dining hall renovation remodel this summer, which will bring a completely overhauled dining room and more display cooking stations.

The current plan includes a station designed for students with food allergies and another that will focus on international foods. The renovation is the first for dining services since 1993. To develop a plan for the renovation the department conducted student focus groups and requested input from faculty and staff.

Students at Martin Luther College will be able to cook their own food in the cafeteria this year, thanks to the addition of a new self-cook station installed during the cafeteria’s renovation, The Journal reports.
