June 17—The University of Kansas in Lawrence has hired Centerplate to
manage its food and beverage concessions at its athletics complex.
The complex includes the university’s 50,000-seat Memorial Stadium and 16,300-seat Allen Fieldhouse. Centerplate will upgrade concession stands and introduce new menu concepts, such as Rock Chalk Grill, named after KU’s Rock Chalk chant and Phog’s Fieldhouse Favorites, named after legendary basketball coach Phog Allen.
