I require all kitchen substitutes to attend a substitute workshop. I discuss sanitation and safety, standards of conduct, employee hygiene and the hiring process. This allows me to impart our vision, mission and expectations to future employees. At the end of the workshop, we review paperwork such as tax forms and set appointments for background checks.
