This burrito combines two very popular foods—ramen and burritos—into one portable package. The flavorful mashup earned a large following among students at UC Davis.

Ingredients

Ramen

1 package ramen noodles
2 tbsp. peanut oil
1/2 tsp. minced garlic
2 tbsp. chopped cilantro

For the Ramenito

3 burrito-size flour tortillas, warmed

Optional toppings

Guacamole
Shredded cheddar cheese
Shredded chicken
Diced Spam
Pico de gallo
Corn, cut off the cob
Fried egg
Sriracha
Ranch dressing
Refried beans

Steps

  1. Boil 2 cups water in medium saucepan. Break ramen into 4 chunks. Add noodles and half of seasoning packet to water; cook for two minutes. Drain.

  2. Add oil, garlic, and cilantro to skillet set over high heat. Heat for about a minute, or until garlic is sizzling. Add noodles and other half of seasoning packet. Cook for additional minute until noodles are warmed through.

  3. Add 1/4 cup of noodles to warmed tortilla. Fill it with your choice of toppings. Roll up burrito. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Serve immediately.
