Sodexo named new House foodservice vendor

The foodservice provider has been awarded a four-year contract for the U.S. House of Representatives.

The airport’s board recently approved a new concessions program, part of a $940 million facility expansion, to open in 2017. Included are local brands like Rumfishh as well as the big national players like Starbucks and P.F. Chang’s.

The council member is concerned with D.C. Public Schools' decision to extend foodservice provider Chartwells' contract following a $19 million lawsuit settlement.

The Buffalo-based company has been signed as the concessions operator at the $672 million stadium now under construction and scheduled to open in 2017.

This summer Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne is revamping its foodservice with a restaurant and a coffee shop, among other outlets from the contractor’s portfolio.

Cafeteria-workers say that Burlington-based Nutri-Serve Food Management has cut benefits and failed to maintain good working conditions.

Following Sodexo’s departure, Chartwells will provide meals for the South Carolina school district, which said the new company offers a lot of marketing ideas to encourage healthy eating among students.

In a newly created position at Northwestern, Ken Field will be the university’s liaison with Sodexo.

Aramark is reportedly asking for an increase in its fee, and the state is conducting a “benchmarking” exercise to see what the market has to offer.
