Those seeking some grub at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind., will soon have a host of new options at their disposal.

“Chef-driven” Crave Food Hall is set to open in August at Purdue’s Discovery Park, a research hub located on the university’s southwest side. The 8,000-square-foot hall will be home to eight distinct dining concepts, including stations dedicated to hot chicken, tacos, shawarma and meatballs. A 40-foot bar, dubbed the Boiler Room Cocktail Bar, will serve cocktails, wine and craft beer.

The hall will feature indoor and outdoor seating, and its menu items will be priced similarly to others found on campus, according to a press release.

“Crave will be the ultimate food-centric destination experience not only for Purdue students and faculty, but also for West Lafayette and Lafayette residents that are looking for world-class meals crafted by some of the best chefs in the business,” said Pat Garza, president and CEO of National Food Hall Solutions, a food-hall focused consultancy that was involved in the project.

The food hall will be located on the first floor of a new residential building at Discovery Park.
