How Camden City School District is persevering through the pandemic to provide nutrition education to students

The team is using videos, social media and more to make sure students and their families receive food resources during COVID-19.

School district uses autonomous vehicles to deliver produce and school supplies to families

Around 50 families at Miami-Dade Public Schools are receiving school supplies and fresh produce from the district's food forests each week.

Elementary students and those with disabilities will be able to return to in-person learning in early December.

The district, which is the country's largest, is making the move after the city’s 7-day positivity rate reached 3%.

Maria Eunice, director of food and nutrition services at Alachua County Public Schools in Gainesville, Fla., received the top honor.

The district has relied on its tight-knit community to make sure kids stay fed.

Over half of respondents reported a financial loss last school year, and 62% anticipate one this year.

In honor of this year’s theme, Now Playing: School Lunch, many schools are using movies to highlight school meals.

The waivers allow schools to serve any child 18 and under for free through June 30.

Guests can preorder dinner and then pick it up to enjoy at home.
