Hoosier Village Retirement Community in Zionsville, Ind., has introduced two robot waiters, WTHR reports.

The robots are used to deliver food from the kitchen to diners and back. Officials at the retirement community say they have helped combat staffing shortages and also allow staff to spend more time with residents during meals instead of having to run to the kitchen to plate food.

Wesley Enhanced Main Line in Media, Pa., also recently added robot waiters to help transport dishes between the dining room and kitchen.
